The pseudo-tolerance towards members of the LGBTQIA+ -community is becoming more obvious in the Netherlands. Members of the community are only able to show bits and pieces of themselves. They are not their full selves, but 'shattered'. This installation was made to show the struggles LGBTQIA+ people face on a daily base.

The installation consists of four A1-printed pictures and eight plastic containers with shattered blocks of ice in them. Inside each of these blocks is a portrait photo of a member of the LGBTQA+ -community. Just before exhibiting this installation the blocks of ice were shattered.
